So this is what happened exactly…

There was this group who just celebrated Milad Unnabi and who forgot to remove these decorations. Yesterday was Hanuman Jayanti and some folks wanted to celebrate it just like we celebrate any other festival, decorate all the roads like they belong to you and then later leave them like a mess after the festival and don’t care a damn about it.

Now they had to remove the previous decorations to add theirs and thats where a group of 2-3 people had an argument about which led to riots in more than 20 areas in the city of Hyderabad.

I don’t even have any words to say…Why do we do this to ourselves and to our surroundings?

GOD show them a way to understand you better, that you are more than decorations, proclamations of who owns which place, who is the superior. Its love all that matters at the end of the day…

Ever heard the verse “Love your neighbor as yourself”? I’m more than sure this is preached everywhere.

I know a lot of people told me this when I was helping them out with their weddings, but something thats hitting me now that no one except me knows it the best on where and how to get things done for a wedding. Yeah you will see all that at my wedding

Anyways.. I was like always Google-ing on where to start and finding resources a few months back, sad that there aint a lot of help there, I mean specific to Indian weddings. So I thot I will come up with one.

I’m documenting everything that is being planned and will publish a planner(in a week).

Alright !!!

A little late on the time line, but this was sitting in my drafts.. so here it comes….

I got a call from my cousin one day at 11 in the night, this one usually won’t call very often and a call at that time made me feel it was a lil important, even though I was very sleepy and would have ignored any other call at the time, I picked his call. He sounded very excited that I answered the call and asked me straight away.. “Do you want to be on TV ?” and my answer was .. “Depends I don’t want a lot of fan following as am already tired of giving autographs ? ”

Anywyas…So he said his friend is looking for someone to host a show on TV and he asked me if I’m game for it

I decided to go to the auditions….It was supposed to be scheduled in the morning, but I called them and moved it to afternoon-evening.. (see am throwing tantrums already) , I was a lil occupied with my regular saturday schedule, you know how tempting it is to skip the schedule for anything even an audition !! Oh which is btw playing with 2-3 year old kids.

3 PM: I step out and call up this guy to get directions. No offense but OMG this guy is very bad at giving directions, I was just hoping he was not he one who will direct me when I get in front of the camera. When I was trying to picture the directions when he was giving .. I felt like there was a rolla-costa ride inside my head !! I immediately stopped him, told him call him from one of the stop points.

4PM:  Managed to reach on time.Remember, I knew no one there, this was supposed to be my cousins close friend, who happened to see me at some wedding and called me for the auditions. I could not recollect who it was, but ya I felt famous already.  So now, I was asked to be seated and I was being treated like a celebrity there, water, coke was asked if the AC was ok and what not.. and Oh yes I totally enjoyed all that attention.

4:30 P.M:  They give me a script and ask me to take few minutes to read through. They asked me to be as casual as possible so that it will come out naturally. I start reading. It is these famous dialog’s these anchors say. ” we will come back after a short break” , “thanks a lot for tuning into blah blah” and in both Telugu, Hindi and English. I was laughing so badly in my head when he handed over me the script, was very tough to control. That was exactly when it hit me what I was doing. But I sure wanted to have my own fun in front of the camera, the one good thing was that there was absolutely no one there whom I have to face the next day so I was very excited and was was practicing in front of the mirror. I could totally see the drama queen in me.

5:00 PM:  A Lady walk into the green room, gives me a touch of make up and then I was called to give  a shot. I enter the room full of lights and camera’s and looks totally like a mess. So much that I was scared I will trip off one of those wires. The mike was fixed to my dress and they gave me few moments to get used to the lights and the camera and then he went counting from 5-1 with his fingers and said “action”. Then that moment when I went blank and I did not see anything in front of me. I was talking and saying all that was written in the script but inside my head I was only picturing myself from the other side of the TV.

5:30 PM: I was standing and there was still these lights that were blazing at me and I cannot see anyone beyond that point, but I knew there are people in that room. I was sure I did the script right and I was waiting for them to respond. While all this was running in my head there were these 3 people who walk from the light towards me clapping and saying that I did a really good job. I totally imagined a 100 odd camera’s clicking around me and felt like a new born celebrity.

6:00 P.M: Everything is wrapped up they are very happy they found a new host for their show and I was given some papers to sign and all that jazz. I told them I will get back and then walk out of that place.

A very small channel a very small show and an audition for just a show, but I totally enjoyed all kind of attention and all the drama I did for the audition.  It is a different world altogether.

Stop laughing ok. how many of you ever gave auditions.. haha at all of you now :p

The heat wave, Elextions and IPL!!! 

Its one of the most hottest and happening Summer I have been through !!! 

Heat wave – I spend most of my day in the office no nothing more I can do about it, evenings are pathetic for me considering that I’m in AC the entire day. One saturday, I could not sleep at all and this troubled my dad, he decided to buy an AC .. Awwhhh suchaa pamperd soul I’m Love u papa  

Elections : Abusing was the top gun used by politicians to get at each other and OMG I have heard some new, fancy and funny abuses. There was a time when all news channels were covering how each party was abusing each other and how the ones who were aubisng each other yesterday are best buddies and are ready to do anything for each other types today !! hahahha at them !! 

IPL : My favourite,  you get to see the best of all from all other locations come together and play the gentleman’s game as they say. and second well ya .. I get to see the DADA who went all guns blazing last summer and stole my heart away … like always.. and I was not on the ground as long as he was batting every six and four I was in the air .. and I loved it totallyyy and so am i enjoying it .. As i belong to Hyderabad yes hell I want Hyderabad to win this time and have been cheering and enjoying the matches , but the clash comes when DC and KKR play. As long as DADA is batting or bowling I support KKR else am DC. Fair enough.. my heart first goes to that man who can hit those sixes which will make me go .. awwwhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh  

The battle is fun and am loving it along with everyone.. and yes one of my fav summer’s so far
